"Bunasta" strengthens the management team: Laura Joffė have joined

2023 04 17

“Bunasta”, a customs brokerage company changing its development direction and strategy due to the geopolitical situation, strengthens its management team. A total of six new employees have joined the company, including Laura Joffė, former Head of the Finance and Administration Department of Lithuanian Airports (“Lietuvos oro uostai”), who has taken over the position of CEO from the company's founder, Jurgis Adomavičius.

Jurgis Adomavičius, the founder of “Bunasta”, a customs brokerage company, says the changes were prompted by the company's rapid expansion into foreign countries and the geopolitical situation in Europe. J. Adomavičius has been the general director of the company since its establishment in 2012.

"In more than 10 years of operation, we have expanded our range of services and our network of service centres to become one of the strongest customs brokerage companies in the region. We have grown from a small company into an international company with plans for expansion abroad. I believe that the experience and competences of the newly joined team members will help to ensure efficient management and successful development of “Bunasta”," says J. Adomavičius, shareholder and strategic management partner of the company.

Laura Joffe, who took over as CEO of “Bunasta” in September last year, says that Western Europe is the company's main priority.

"Bunasta" already operates in six countries - not only Lithuania, but also Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, the UK and Kazakhstan, with plans to establish representative offices in Finland and Sweden in the near future. With the help of reliable partners, we also provide services in other European countries, such as Germany, France and Turkey. Without a doubt, Kazakhstan, with its huge potential, is certainly set for rapid expansion. The transport and logistics sectors in Lithuania represent a really significant part of the economy and we see that growth will not stop, so I will strive for a rapid and successful expansion in all countries," says the new CEO of “Bunasta”.

When reorienting from the East to the West, it is extremely important to strengthen the European customs department, which Lina Petronienė has been invited to lead. She has extensive experience in international shipments, courier services and transportation, gained at DHL, and is currently a board member of the Customs Practitioners Association.

"When changing the business direction, it's important to know your customer. We have separated company's Business Development Department. We believe that by combining the marketing and sales departments, we will be able to get to know our customers better and offer them the best products and the best service that meets their needs. We can already see that the needs of customers in the West are different from those in the East. One of the most relevant packages is: export, transit and import," says L. Joffe.

In order to meet the needs of its clients, “Bunasta” digs deeply into their pain points and strives to provide a very fast and high-quality service, which has led to a review and optimisation of all company processes that were not always managed correctly during the rapid growth. This has led to the creation of the Customer Experience Department, which will be headed by Jana Choroševič. Until now, she was responsible for human resources management at “Bunasta”. Her team has been strengthened by the new “Bunasta” Project Manager Linas Liubeckas, who can perfectly apply the knowledge of international process management acquired at Danske Bank.

"In the perspective of all changes, an important role is undoubtedly played by financial management, which has been entrusted to manage the newly joined Jurgita Kovaleva-Jurgelė. She has gained extensive experience in optimizing financial management in such companies as "Ainava", "Penki kontinentai". Her international experience will undoubtedly help in managing the finances of the five companies," says Ms Joffė.
