VĮD is issued after the veterinary check of products of animal origin at the border veterinary inspection post. VĮD has two parts. Common Entry Document (BID) is required for importing products of plant origin. It is required for shipments imported from outside the EU as set out in legislation. Their official control is started by the veterinarian of the border inspection post and completed by officials of territorial offices of State Food and Veterinary Service.
BĮD is not required for the export of non-animal food products to third countries only. Part I of BĮD must be submitted to the border veterinary inspection post in advance (by fax, email or otherwise) at least one (1) working day before the arrival of the shipment at the border veterinary inspection post.
